One Word

An abbreviated text.

I've learned to communicate in half thoughts. My attention span has shrunk to that of an antsy child. I can binge watch a season of Master Chef, but forget to plan dinner for the night.

I write a novel, or three, or ten, but have I really said anything at all?

There are over 803,000 words in the Bible. But really, there's only one. One Word.

If I miss that one, I miss it all. Clanging cymbals, flapping jaws.

It's time to read that Word over and over. The Word of God. The Word made flesh. Out of the shadows and into a reality bigger than I can conceive.

In the beginning was the Word. And in the garden. And in the rainbow, and in the fire, and in a straw-lined feed trough. And in the end will be the Word.
