I Miss the Rains Down in Africa

I lay awake last night listening to the thunderstorm, the first night storm in over a year.

I miss the rains down in Africa - the boiling clouds overhead, the hope of relief from the heat, the crack of thunder and the drumbeat of rain hitting the hard, red clay.

Last night, I was homesick.

Thanks for the congrats Patty! I'm glad that James/Jaque shares a birthday with the twins! Hug Edwin and the girls for me.

I just wrote the briefest bio for the msoa website and realized just how many places I am homesick for too. It is strange like that, you are living, and then something happens and you have a moment of a funny feeling, and then it all comes rushing in on you. I also get "travelsick" for places I've never been...including heaven :)
