God makes light shine out of darkness. He hides his greatest treasure--his own glory shining in the face of Jesus--in the hearts of his people, fragile and simple as clay jars. It reminds us that the power is not from us, but from God. As I dip my quill (electronic though it may be) to write this blog, the title Clay Inkpot reminds me where the power and wisdom come from. If what you read has no merit, that's where bits of me have flaked off and muddied the ink.

In a new light
Have you ever looked at something so many times you don't even see it anymore? Are you like Mr. Banks in Mary Poppins who can't see past the nose on his face? Take a fresh look at something you've seen a million times.
Golden yellow as the morning sun. Full of life's seed. Fragile, yet strong. Protected and coveted.
Behold...
the egg.
To make your own rubbery, blubbery eggs, cover them with vinegar for 24 hours. The shell will dissolve away and leave only the membrane for protection.

I am interested in hearing the "rest of te story" about the differing fates of theseshellless wonders.
Also I had a great list to compliment your new heading, but it dissolved in the vinegar of the preview button. I'll hand your may notes instead.
BYW, Great Photo!
I'm going to do that vinegar trick with my daughters as a homeschool project! We're soaking chicken bones in vinegar now. They've been soaking for 2 weeks, and supposedly we'll be able to bend them and knot them. We'll see...
